The death of Dapo Ojora, ex-Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s brother-in-law allegedly from suicide, has assumed a new twist.

Late Dapo, a polo buff and socialite allegedly shot himself in the head on Friday as opinions divided about circumstances surrounding his death with a section attributing it to suicide and another ascribing it to accidental discharge.

But the police are suspecting foul play and as a result have made arrests including his maid, according to source.

The spokesperson of Lagos State Police Command SP Muyiwa Adejobi in a statement titled, ‘Dapo Ojora’s death’ said the police have launched investigation into the matter saying  “The Lagos State Police Command has commenced a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of one Dapo Ojora, a socialite and polo buff, who was alleged to have shot himself in the head on Friday, 11th December, 2020, in his Lagos residence.

“The Lagos State Police Command therefore urges the general public to disregard media speculations making the rounds regarding the cause of his death until the investigation instituted by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, to unravel the cause of his death is concluded and the findings made public.”
