Davido’s manager, Kamal Ajiboye, has faulted claims made by the Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency(NDLEA) that the hip-hop artiste promoted drug trafficking in the video of his song track, Fans mi.

Rather, Kamal in an interview he granted Punch, said Davido in the video promoted yam flour and its economic viability, and not hard drug as it is believed in some quarters.

He said, “People have been talking about the matter on social media. Maybe they need to take time to watch the video again and see for themselves what it is all about. I don’t know why anybody would want to make up a story about Davido getting involved with hard drugs.

“The yam flour was well projected in the video. It was finally prepared as a meal of pounded yam to be eaten with vegetable soup in one of the scenes in the same video,” he said.

It would be recalled that Director of Public Affairs of the NDLEA, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, recently said the agency might invite the hip-hop artiste for questioning based on the video, in which he featured an American rapper, Meek Mill and both are glorifying drug trafficking.
In the video, Meek, a member of the Maybach Group, shows Davido a briefcase filled with dollars and another bag filled with parcels of a substance suspected to be hard drugs.
