The remains of a police corporal, Davis Odudu, were interred at Akamba Nsukara Offot Cemetery, Uyo, the Akwa-Ibom State capital on Saturday.

The remains of a police corporal, Davis Odudu, were interred at Akamba Nsukara Offot Cemetery, Uyo, the Akwa-Ibom State capital on Saturday.
Odudu, who until his death was attached to Akim Police Station on IBB Way in Calabar where he was a station guard, was allegedly killed by some naval ratings on May 30, 2017, alongside his colleague, Corporal Emmanuel Mbang.
It happened that fight broke out between the deceased and the alleged killer naval ratings over traffic issues.
Odudu is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Monday Udo, his widow, Mrs. Etido Odudu, and children.
His death, which was sudden elicited emotional responses from people who knew him.
One of them, a Facebook user, Orok Ekpo wrote on his page on June 18: “R.I.p. Odudu Davis you left my house in the morning after sharing beer with me but died in the evening oh my gallant police officer. Well death is inevitable end of every mortals. Adieu
