The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arrested a footballer with the youth team of Nigerian premier league side, 3SC, identified as Dayo Oginni over alleged Internet fraud.

EFCC disclosed this on Tuesday in a statement it released in which the anti-graft agency said Oginni was arrested alongside his brother-in-law, Alabi Okikiola, and his friend Jonas Okwuwe.

The statement read in part: “Their arrest followed a petition from a neighbour, who raised high suspicion on the reckless and flamboyant life the suspect lived, without any known reasonable source of income.”
