A four-month old baby girl was on Tuesday in Delta State crushed to death by a truck after she fell from a commercial motorcycle (Okada) where she was strapped to her mother’s back(file image).
The incident occurred at Okorodafe Roundabout in Ughelli.
Eyewitness said the bereaved mother simply identified as Ese attempted to adjust her wrapper while the Okada was in motion. Her attempts went awry when her baby fell off her back and was crushed by a truck conveying crates of soft drinks.
Several passersby who gathered at the scene of the accident broke down in tears.
