The Governing Council of the Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, has sacked 10 lecturers, and eight non-teaching junior staff for various offences ranging from plagiarism, sexual harassment, extortion and absenteeism.

Seventeen others were also warned by the council to shape up or ship out.
The disciplinary action was contained a document posted on the university’s website, delsu.ed.ng, on Friday wherein the names of the culprits, their designations, the offences they committed, and the punishment 
meted out to them were stated.
The document was signed by the university Registrar and Secretary to the University’s Senate, Mr. Daniel Urhibo.
