A man, Ibisaki Sokari, has killed the mother-of-his-two children, Mrs. Desire Sokari West, on her birthday for failing to cook for him, and instead celebrated the occasion of her 33-year-old outside the couple’s home.
The incident happened at Buguma, Asari-Toru Local Government Area of Rivers State where the couple lived.
According to a Facebook user, Irreplaceable Daniela, who made the news of the incident public in a series of posts, the victim was her sister.

Daniela narrated that it occurred on May 5th on the deceased’s birthday after she returned home having celebrated with her friends, and families.
She said trouble erupted when Ibisaki flew into rage because the late celebrant did not cook for him, and in turn the deceased ‘gave him a romantic slap’, which ignited new fury in her attacker and he stabbed her to death with a knife.
The narrator added that the killer husband had not paid his victim’s dowry.
In one of the posts accompanied by the victim’s photo and captioned: SAY NO TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!!! My sister Desire Sokari West is gone.. God why???, Daniela wrote: “I want to wake up from this dream You killed her on her own birthday You haven’t even paid for her bride price what will happen to the children.”
