Former Petroleum Minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, underwent successful surgery less than two weeks back, family source has revealed.
Earlier in October after she was arrested in London for money laundering, her family announced that the embattled ex-petroleum minister has cancer.
Then they said in a statement: “The Madueke family, like most other families, have their own challenges. For instance, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke has been receiving treatment for cancer in the UK which started while she was in office.
“The health crisis has unfortunately exacerbated in recent times. She completed months of chemotherapy just last week and she is scheduled to undergo surgery next week in London.”
A family source who craved anonymity told OrijoReporter that Diezani on October 22 in a London hospital underwent a successful cancer surgery.
