The apology embattled Senior Pastor of Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, Pastor Chris Okafor, made to his congregation, and whoever he offended, particularly actress Doris Ogala has received mixed reactions from the latter.

The Pastor and Ogala have been having a running battle which stems from claim by the actress that he broke his promise to marry her and filed a billion naira suit against him, bordering on breach of promise of marriage.

The thespian accused Okafor of sharing her nude video with his friends saying the Pastor always looked for a fall guy to the point of sending his daughters’ nude photos to her.

Ogala had also claimed that Okafor offered her $10,000 to spin the narrative and retract herself.

She said Okafor told her to incriminate some of his rival pastors by declaring publicly that they sponsored her to make false claim against him.

On Sunday during his church service in Lagos, the embattled pastor publicly apologised to his congregation for the scandal and Ogala for whatever way he had wronged her.

Kneeling before his congregation he said, “Listen, we’re not joining issues. Mistakes have been made in the past, and I tender an apology to everybody.

“I am sorry to everyone I have offended, to Doris Ogala also. I say sorry and apologise to everyone that I’ve offended.

“I’m ready to make restitution to anyone, anybody, any lady I have offended. I am sorry. Forgive me,” he said in part.

Subsequently, the plea drew reaction from Ogala who in a social media post accepted the apology with reservation saying, “Chris Okafor, I forgive you, but there’s a problem. Where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie.”
