A Divisional Police Officer, Mustapha Garba, has died less than an hour to his wedding.
Late Garba was the DPO of Railway Division in Bauchi State.
The 42-year-old lost his life in a fatal auto crash alongside two of his friends.
The melancholy event took place on Saturday while they were heading to Magama Gumau from Gumau for his wedding Fatiha on the fateful day in a Mercedes-Benz driven by the late officer.
“The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. along the Bargar Tsamiya area in the Toro Local Government Area.
“It involved their car and a stationary Opel Astra parked by the roadside. The Benz ran into a pothole, and he was unable to control it, and consequently it veered into the opposite lane, and crashed into a stationary car before somersaulting into the bush,” sources narrated.
