The Ogun State Police Command has removed the Divisional Police Officer, Kemta Division , Amos Samuel, for allegedly assaulting a pregnant woman.
A housewife, 37-year-old Risikat Bamidele had alleged that she was assaulted by Amos and lost her two months old pregnancy during an alleged attack that took place in the station when she went to see her husband, Mr. Tunde Bamidele, who was in detention.
Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Abdulmajid Ali announced Amos’ removal in text messages sent to newsmen on Wednesday, adding that investigation into the incident had begun.
The text message read in part: “The DPO involved had been removed and moved to the state headquarters. I promise to make our findings public at the conclusion of the case.”
