The Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, is believed to be in self-isolation after ‘several’ coronavirus exposures.

In particular, Ehanire was in contact with the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari who tested positive to the pandemic.
The health minister has held conference on Coronavirus (COVID-19) where the public were provided with update daily since the outbreak of the disease in Nigeria.
The briefing did not hold on Tuesday and Wednesday, setting tongues wagging as rumour rife that the minister is in self-isolation.
Ehanire’s absence at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Wednesday when the medical items donated by Jack Ma was being received by the federal government also gave traction to the rumour.
The Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Health, Abdullahi Mashi, received the consignments.
