It was said by police spokesperson in the state, DSP Magaji Musa Majia, that she approached one Fatimah’s mother to buy her daughter for N15,000.
Distancing itself from the suspect, her employer through its medical director, Dr. Atima Mayor, at a press conference on Wednesday, said the act of the nurse does not represent the philosophy of the Christian missionary clinic, adding that she must face the consequence.
Mayor said, “Since the case is pending before the law enforcement institutions, we believe she would face the full wrath of the law while the hospital is considering her sanctions based on the staff rules of ethics, for dragging the name of the hospital, which was founded on Christian ethics, into disrepute.”
Mrs. Pius has been a staff of the hospital for 4 years. She is presently under investigation for alleged child trafficking.
