An Assistant Director with Edo State Ministry of Education, Mrs. Kate Edokpayi has committed suicide after a long battle with diabetes, including depression and suicidal thoughts.
The deceased who was the wife of the former registrar of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, and hailed from Esan West local government area took her life by hanging herself on the ceiling.
Her dangling body was discovered by her husband, Mr. Larry Edokpayi, in one of the rooms of their boy’s quarters.
Sources have it that she had repeatedly expressed her frustration over her inability to get a cure for diabetes which was afflicting her.
