A former councillor of Getso ward in Kano State, Ibrahim Nakuzama, has been killed on election day.
The cause of Nakuzama’s murder is however a subject of controversy.
The one that gained wide traction is that the father of six, who left two wives was shot in his reported attempt to snatch ballot boxes in Gwarzo local government area of Kano, on Saturday.
The account, was however disclaimed by many of his confederates, who said the deceased could not have stooped to that hoodlum level for any political reason.
A report that was not in dispute is that prior to his killing, Nakuzama gave some refreshments to agents of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) at his polling unit.
