Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi has laid to rest rumour that he is secretly married to an 18-year-old after he wedded the teenage girl in a low-key ceremony at the weekend.
Rumours had been swirling around 54-year-old Sanusi’s love life after it emerged that he has picked a fresh secondary school leaver, 18-year-old Sa’adatu Barkindo-Musdafa(pictured), daughter of the Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo-Musdafa as his 4th wife.
The rumours was however confirmed at the weekend in Adamawa, the Yola State capital as the wedding Fatiha between the Kano emir and his teen bride took place at Lamido of Adamawa Palace, during which Sanusi Lamido gave the child bride N100,000 as dowry.
