Senator Adeola Olamilekan, aka Yayi, has given details of his encounter with the thugs who accompanied Senator Ovie Omo-Agege to invade the Senate on Wednesday.
Earlier, Senate Deputy President Ike Ekweremadu claimed two senators were kidnapped during the invasion and were later released.
Senator Olamilekan who is believed to be one of the kidnap victims, in an interview with newsmen gave a graphic detail of how it all happened.
The Senator representing Lagos West narrated that he arrived at the National Assembly Premises to meet the crisis underway, adding that he beat a hasty retreat to the car park to board his black SUV but mistook the thugs’ car for his.
He said, “They just pushed me into the car. Before I noticed what was happening, two men entered the same car with the mace of the Senate and took off.
“I had to open the door of the car and managed to squeeze myself out of the car forcefully before the car zoomed off towards the exit gate at the back of the House of Representatives chamber.”
