Ex-counsel to alleged kidnap kingpin and billionaire kidnapper, Chukwudumeme Onwuamadike, aka Evans, Olukoya Ogungbeje was on Wednesday arrested at the premises of the Federal High Court Ikoyi.
Ogunbeje’s arrest was made by operatives from the Panti Division Lagos State.
The lawyer, who had no inkling of the danger lurking around was arrested as soon as he alighted from his car and was whisked away apparently to Panti.
The reason for the arrest of Ogungbeje who was lead counsel to Evans until June when he withdrew from all the criminal charges/cases against the defendant pending in the Lagos High Courts was shrouded in mystery as at press time.
However, unconfirmed report from the grapevine alleged that he was arrested because he got a judgement against the Nigerian Police.
