A former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Mohammed Uwais, has died.
Uwais died at the age of 89 in the early hours of Friday.
The news of his death was broken by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Ondo State, Dr Kayode Ajulo.
Recall that Uwais served as Chief Justice of Nigeria from 1995 until his retirement in 2006.
The deceased at one time during his lifetime also chaired the Presidential Electoral Reform Committee inaugurated by late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua.
