Former Super Eagles defender Yisa Sofoluwe is battling a brain disease and said to be in coma and hospitalized at Prince and Life Medical Hospital, Ikorodu, Lagos.

The paper said it learnt about the ill-health of the left back from another ex-international, Waheed Akanni.
It quoted the former midfielder as saying, “He’s in a coma now as we speak. He has undergone some tests and the doctors found out that he has some dead tissues in his brain. He needs adequate treatment to recover well.”
