Ex-Eagles star, Henry Nwosu, battling terminal illness – Report

Former Super Eagles midfielder, Henry Nwosu, is facing an undisclosed health challenge believed to be terminal. 

This is as per, Punchng citing the ailing ex-international himself, who was a household name between 70’s and 80’s on account of his football exploit, and at the height of his career, he won the African Nations Cup with the country’s senior national team in 1980.  

The 59-year-old the report said, has been diagnosed with an undisclosed terminal ailment, and hospitalized in Asaba, the state capital. 

He told the publication that he is out of money because the sickness has cost him a lot in medical bills, saying he has been counting on people of goodwill for financial assistance.

The publication quoted him to have said, “Some people have sent me money to help the process, which I appreciate so much. Today (Sunday), someone from an All-Star club I belong to in Lagos sent me N100,000, while another sent me N50,000, which I appreciate. I need all the help I can now to stay alive.”
