Gunmen have killed two private security men in the employ of former minister of Sports, Damishi Sango, in suspected assassination attempt on the life of the former Plateau State governorship aspirant.
The victims were among the security guards manning Sango’s country home in Danwal village, Ganawuri chiefdom, Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Report said armed gunmen stormed the residence on Wednesday at around 9.00pm firing gunshots. The former minister who was within the house suffered no injury.
However, two of his guards were shot by the unwanted guests and were confirmed dead at the hospital they were rushed to.
The spokesman for the state police command, Ubah Ogaba, confirmed the incident in an interview with newsmen.
