The last one week was a mixed bag for Oyo State Former Governor, Senator Rasheed Ladoja.
Last weekend, one of his children got married in Khartoum, the capital of Sudan. A joyful event, the colourful wedding was witnessed by several of his political associates, particularly Accord Party’s chieftains. Most of them, including Ladoja, returned to Nigeria on Tuesday.
However, trouble came his way yesterday as his son, Adebola Ladoja died in a ghastly auto crash involving the deceased’s Volkswagen Golf car with registration number AKD 107 CJ and a DAF truck, registration number JJJ 59 XA driven by one Osaghai Justice Eko on Eko Bridge.
Sources said the sad event happened around 3.30 p.m, when the deceased was driving toward Lagos Island.
It was gathered that the driver of the truck lost control and hit the median in the middle of the road, before crushing the car driven by the former governor’s son.
Lagos State Police Command PRO, Ngozi Braide confirmed the incident, adding that the victim died on the spot, while his remains had been removed to the Lagos Island General Hospital mortuary for autopsy.
