Former President Muhammadu Buhari has died in a hospital in the UK.
Speculation had surrounded his health for a while with report saying he was hospitalised in UK, and in a bad state.
The deceased’s spokesman while at the helm of affairs in Nigeria, Mallam Garba Shehu, confirmed the development.
Shehu in a terse statement he released disclosed that the immediate-past president died on Sunday at a hospital in United Kingdom.
“The family of the former president has announced the passing on of the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, this afternoon in a clinic in London.
“May Allah accept him in Aljannatul Firdaus,” it read in part
