A former presidential spokesperson Dr Doyin Okupe is dead.
Okupe, according to reports, died of prostate cancer at aged 72.
His death occurred at a Lagos hospital. It marked the end of his battle with the cancer, which he was diagnosed with since sixteen years ago.
He was also ailed by sarcoma, a tumour in the bones and soft tissue, on his right shoulder.
The deceased served as a senior adviser to former President Goodluck Jonathan and later as the Director-General of Peter Obi’s 2023 Presidential Campaign.
