A former member of the House of Representatives, and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Dr Cairo Ojougboh, has died in the course of watching
Nigeria vs South Africa’s match.
Super Eagles defeated Bafana Bafana on Wednesday to qualify for the final of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Ojougboh, who represented the Ika Federal Constituency of Delta State in the Green Chamber passed away while watching the semifinal match.
According to report, the deceased, a medical doctor, had heart attack when Bafana Bafana equalised from a penalty kick awarded them after Alhassan Yusuf brought down one of their players.
“As soon as the goal was scored, he shouted and slumped due to massive heart attack,” sources said.
