Mr Tanko Habila, father of Physiotherapist Mary Habila, whose death at the residence of Minister of Works David Umahi is causing ripples, has sworn an oath of not to sue the minister.

In the affidavit which has now gone viral, the bereaved family through Mr Habila formally waived the rights to drag Umahi to court on allegations of having something to do with the death of the 26-year-old.

The family also ruled out conducting an autopsy on late Habbila’s body.

Meanwhile, Ebonyi State Police Command said it would have a post-mortem examination conducted on the corpse of the deceased.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Joshua Ukandu.

“The Command has since commenced a comprehensive investigation. Detectives have visited the scene and obtained statements from relevant persons.

“The Command is set to engage the services of a pathologist to conduct a post-mortem examination that will help determine the cause of death and support the ongoing inquiry,” the statement read partly.
