The Federal Government has declared Monday, December 12 as public holiday to mark the Eid-El Maulud celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (rtd), announced the holiday on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido issued on Thursday.
Dambazau urged Muslims to use the occasion to pray for the nation’s peace. He called on Nigerians to support the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government, adding the president is working assiduously to build a virile and united nation.
