Idris Aremu Agboluaje, a 400-level Business Education student of Kwara State University (KWASU), has died in a road accident while rushing to write his first semester final-year examination.
Report of Idris’ death has it that earlier he was barred from entering the examination hall due to his inability to present his student identity card.
His rejection, according to the narrative prompted him to fetch the identification card in haste in order to catch up with the examination, in the course of which he was involved in a fatal accident at the school gate.
Reacting to the incident, the Association of Business Educators of Nigeria (ABEN), Kwara State University, Malete Chapter, expressed deep sorrow over his sudden death, describing it as a painful loss to the Business Education department.
“Our hearts go out to his parents, family members, friends and classmates during this difficult time,” the association said in a statement.
