The sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Imo State, Evarestus Ebeniro, on Tuesday said 35 motorists had been arrested by his command for trying to induce his officers.
Ebeniro made this known in his conversation with newsmen at the secretariat of the Nigeria Union of Journalists in Owerri.
The sector commander prided his command on having zero tolerance for corruption boasting that in the spirit of the said clean operation in August, 35 motorists were arrested for attempting to corrupt its officers.
He said that his command had in place strategies to apprehend and deal appropriately with officers found wanting, corruption wise.
He added that the command was fully ready for traffic gridlock associated with ember months, saying that the state government had helped to ease traffic by turning the roundabouts to intersections.
