The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has set up a panel to unravel the immediate and remote cause of the deaths of its officers, who were believed to have been struck to death by thunderstorm on Wednesday.

Five officers of the traffic control agency at its Ijebu Command in Ogun State were victims of a lightning strike that occurred during a heavy downpour on Wednesday morning while preparing to leave office to their duty post.
While three died, the others survived by a whisker but ostensibly with injuries.
The commission via its twitter handle, @FRSCNigeria, said it has set up a panel to investigate the regrettable incident.
It wrote: “…cause of the incident, the Corps Marshal has also set up a Board of inquiry and ordered immediate investigation with a view to ascertain all variables that led to the unfortunate occurrence.”
