Ex-minister of Internal Affair, General John Shagaya died on Sunday in an auto crash that happened in Jos, the Plateau State capital where he hailed from.

The deceased was a minister during the time of President Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida and represented Plateau South as a senator in the Senate between 2007-2011
As at press time, details of the crash was sketchy, however, multiple media reports said the 75-year-old was involved in a lone accident while traveling from Lantang to Jos when one of his car’s tyres burst causing the vehicle to somersault.
The reports were silent on whether the deceased drove himself or was driven by chauffeur.
