A woman has died alongside two daughters of hers in Ijagun Okokomaiko area of Lagos State.

The trio, according to Punchng, were found dead in the shop belonging to the deceased mother on Monday.

The publication, citing an unnamed source said they had gone to bed on Friday, with the generator on and the fumes from it causing their deaths.

“On Friday night, the woman locked herself in the shop with her daughters while the generator was on. On Saturday, someone passed by and still saw the shop locked with the generator on.

“On Monday morning, people were worried as there was an offensive odour around her shop. Then, the husband broke into the shop and he found the dead bodies of his wife and children. These bodies were found in the inner shop and the other extension was where the generator was placed,” it quoted the source as saying.

That account, the report hinted, does not command general acceptance with food poisoning attributed to the tragedy in some quarters, adding that the police have launched investigation into it.
