Gunmen kill 8 Security Officers in Imo

At least eight security officers have been killed on Tuesday in Umualumaku community, Ehime Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State.

The slain officers comprises of soldiers, policemen and men of the Nigeria Security And Civil Defence Corps.

They were members of a joint security taskforce and were in two trucks when they met their deaths at the hands of gunmen.

The latter, according to report, ambushed them including setting their vehicles ablaze with the officers inside.

It resulted in total deaths as they were also burnt with their operational vehicles, throwing members of the community and its environs into panic.

A record of the vehicles on fire has been circulating online.
