The outgoing governor, Abdufatah Ahmed has about ten days left to vacate office and hand over to Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdurazak of the All Progressive Congress. So, he may be packing his luggage and moving them out gradually.
However, scandal is swirling around the situation with unsubstantiated allegation that money is being moved in broad daylight.
The rumour has drawn the comment of the governor’s aide on Media and Communication, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, who said in post on a WhatSapp group, Kwarans Forum, that the trailer was loaded with Dangote rice, wheat and sugar, which according to him, his principal doled out as Zakat to indigent Muslims yearly.
His word, “There is no need for this atmosphere of negative propaganda emerging in the state. All the authors had to do was ask. It’s being taken out for distribution. The Dangote gesture is annual.”
