Protesting the alleged inhuman treatment meted on her by the lawmaker during her visit to the Assembly complex, the woman said, “I came to visit the honourable member representing my constituency, Hon. Samuel Omotoso, but I met his absence.

“On my way out, I met Pelemo and we exchanged pleasantries. But he immediately began to fondle my breasts; and I asked him what he meant by that; that I am a married woman for that matter; and that I take great exception for what he did.”

She added, “He now said that I am an enemy of government; that I was not supposed to come to the Assembly complex. Then I asked him, ‘was that the reason why you are touching my breasts, a married woman for that matter?’

“I went on to report the matter to Hon. Akinyele and I met the Clerk in Hon. Akinyele’s office with two other visitors with him. He was on phone, but I waited.

“Before I knew what was happening, Pelemo came in with some miscreants and they started beating me up, destroying things in that office, asking what I was doing in the House of Assembly complex; that I was not supposed to be in the place, and that I am an enemy of government.”

Mrs. Ilesanmi said the assault on her took place right in the office of the House Majority Leader, Mr. Tunji Akinyele, whom she had gone to see to lodge a complaint on her ordeal in the hands of the lawmaker.
She stressed that the thugs gave her the beating of her life and tore her clothes.

In his reaction, Pelemo, who is also Chairman House committee on Security, explained that “the complainant came to the Assembly and I met her at the corridor.

“Ordinarily, she is supposed to register with the receptionist, but because I am the head of the security committee, I questioned her and I asked her to identify herself with the tag. I called on the sergeant to take her out of the Assembly.”
