Hon. Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, a member of the House of Representatives, representing Lagos Island 1 Federal Constituency is keeping her eyes on Lagos Central senatorial seat presently occupied by the wife of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Senator Remi Tinubu.
Having been in the lower chamber since 2007, orijoreporter was told that the daughter of the Asoju Oba of Lagos, Chief Omolade Okoya-Thomas wants to break the cycle come 2015.
It was gathered that in 2011, she lobbied ACN party hierarchy to support her ambition when the then representative of the senatorial district, Senator Munirudeen Muse was dropped.
Her expectation to land the party’s ticket, however, suffered a serious blow when the party leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu picked his own wife.
Sources said that the two-term lawmaker is already consulting widely with top politicians and other influential individuals, including her father and the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu who have both approved her political ambition.
Another person, Hon. Okoya-Thomas has gotten his approval is the Senate president David Mark. It is alleged that both are “exchanging body fluids.”
it’d be hard to do cos of the tinubu monotony but since its alleged that she’s exchanging ‘body fluids’ with the good senator,she should have an edge.
she’s going to have stern fight on her hands cos i dont think the tinubu family are planning to lose that seat.
if she’s going with pdp she has a shot at it but acn? no way.
not unless she’s going with another party,she wont get the ticket cos tinubu will never allow it.
