Kogi State House of Assembly Speaker, Hon Matthew Kolawole, has made snide remark about the reported cases of COVID-19 in the country.

Kolawole in an interview with newsmen at Lokoja said he was on the same page with the State governor, Yahaya Bello, on coronavirus issue.

Bello had expressed disbelief at the growing presence of the virus in Nigeria. The governor said he was under pressure to make false claim that Kogi has the pandemic cases for pecuniary gains.

Speaking Kolawole said: “Honestly, I want to align myself with the position of the governor that the issue is more political than reality, the symptoms of COVID-19 such as fever, catarrh and pneumonia, which we are all familiar with and we have our own way of treating them.”
