A chilling murder mystery has rocked Adamawa State after a middle-aged woman was allegedly found brutally beheaded inside a hotel room in Girei Local Government Area.
The shocking incident reportedly happened on Friday afternoon at Novex Hotel, where the yet-to-be-identified woman had allegedly checked in with a man suspected to be responsible for the gruesome act.
According to sources, panic broke out at the hotel after occupants reportedly heard loud sounds of a struggle coming from the room where the pair were lodged.
The sources said some people rushed to the room and forced their way inside, only to be confronted with a horrifying scene — the woman lying in a pool of blood with a deep cut around her neck.
The victim’s remains were later removed from the hotel and taken to an undisclosed hospital, while the suspected killer was reportedly apprehended by the police.
Confirming the development, the Adamawa State Police Command spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, said one suspect had been arrested in connection with the alleged crime.
Nguroje said the command had launched a full-scale investigation into the incident, promising that more details would be made public as the probe progresses.
He also appealed for calm, urging residents to avoid taking the law into their own hands and allow the police to complete their investigation.
