The Kano State Governor, Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, has spoken of the latest effort to resolve the lingering crisis between him and Emir of Kano, Mallam Muhammadu Sanusi II.
Ganduje’s Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar, disclosed this on Sunday in a statement he released wherein he said his principal and Sanusi met in Abuja on Friday at the instance of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote and Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi.
Anwar didn’t say whether the monarch and his boss have reached a truce following the meeting in the terse statement, which reads in part: “As the two leaders met, they congratulated each other for the successful completion of the month of Ramadhan Fast and the Sallah festive period.”
