The Minister of Labour and Productivity, Dr Chris Ngige said he warned his children, who are medical doctors never to go on strike.
He made this statement against the backdrop of the ongoing strike by doctors in public doctors who are not consultants over poor wage.
Ngige, a leading figure in the charge to get the aggrieved doctors back to work, on Friday insisted that there was no basis for them to go on strike in view of the Hippocratic Oath they have sworn to.
The minister, a doctor himself, said he told his doctor children never to be part of a strike.
“If I were them, they have to call off the strike immediately. Otherwise, people who die at this period, their blood will be on their head. I am a Medical Doctor, I have never gone on strike in my life and I will never. I have told my children who are doctors never to go on strike,” the former governor said.
