Entertainer cum activist Charles Oputa, well known as Charly Boy said he was a divisive issue between his late parents, Justice Chukwudifu Oputa and Mrs Margret Oputa.

The matriarch died recently at age, 101, and speaking against the backdrop of her demise in an interview with The Sun, the maverick personality shared fond memories of how he used to cause friction between the deceased couple.

He told the paper: “Mum was the first to have hope in where I was going, and I remember dad would say ‘oh, you are the one spoiling this boy.’ And mom would say ‘no, this is not an Army Barracks.’ Because of me, there was always a quarrel between mum and dad.”
