A ministerial nominee, Bosun Tijani, has shed light on his private life saying his parents have all died.
Tijani made this known on the floor of the Senate during his screening where he said he earned the appointment.
“I have no father or mother. I have no political godfather too. I appreciate being nominated on merit and the works that I have done,” the IT expert said.
While being cross-questioned by the senators over his past condemanatory remarks of government officials including senators who he called “morons,” in a tweet, Tijani said it was in consequence of frustration arising from prevailing extortion of youths with laptops by the police.
He added that the frustration also sprang from his encounter with officials of Chinese Embassy who maltreated him for holding a Nigerian passport.
“The tweets online don’t represent me at all. As a young man born and bred by Yoruba parents, tender my sincere apology. I am profusely sorry,” he pleaded.
