Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja, who is deciding the case of N3bn pension fund fraud against former Chairman of the Police Pension Task Force, Abdulrasheed Maina, has made no secret of his sympathy for the accused after he appeared before him in a wheelchair on Thursday.
Abang, who was to rule on the bail application filed by Maina on health grounds said: “I noticed that the accused was in court in a wheel chair. I didn’t order him to come on a wheel chair. I was deeply touched when I saw him this morning.”
