Former militant warlord, Mujahid Asari Dokubo has announced his resolve to collude with the North against President Bola Tinubu.
Asari took to his Facebook page to say this by a video of him.
Remember that Dokubo campaigned openly for Tinubu in the 2023 election earning him enmity and opposition in some quarters.
Upon Tinubu’s emergence as President he visited the President in the Villa and granted media interview in which he accused the military of responsibility for oil bunkering.
Signs that there’s a crack between their relationship emerged in recent time. One of it is, Dokubo’s declaration that it was the President that ordered the anti-military interview.
Now, the warlord has declared that he will collaborate with the North against Tinubu for allegedly betraying him.
“I apologise to our fathers because they were not wrong in forming an alliance with the North, and as young men, we will now start that same alliance.
“From today, I will work and form an alliance with the North. President Tinubu betrayed me after I spent all my money and emptied my bank account campaigning for him. The Tinubu I know now isn’t the Tinubu I used to know. We will take this message across that only the Northerners can work with the Ijaw people.
“We can’t work with Yoruba people; they are a betrayal to us. We risked our lives by voting and doing everything, and this is what we get?” he said in the trending video.
