Imo State Commissioner for Entrepreneurship and Skill Acquisition, Iyke Ume, was on Sunday shot by gunmen.
The incident happened in Owerri, the state capital at Orji, on Owerri- Okigwe Road, near Orji Divisional Police Headquarters.
Ume and the Special Adviser on Inter Party Affairs, Dominic Uzowuru, were riding in the same car when the robbers waylaid them and opened fire on the commissioner shooting him in his leg(s) and hand(s) and made away with both phones.
Three other motorists were also reported to have been caught in the robbery attack sparking panic across the state.
