A hotelier, Stanley Morocco Oparaugo, has been declared wanted on claim that he is using his hotel and mortuary for kidnap and organ-harvesting.

On account of the charges, the two businesses situated at Umuhu community in Ngor-Okpala area of Imo State have been sealed by the police while security operatives have launched a manhunt for Oparaugo who is said to be the leader of the criminal syndicate.

The State Police Command spokesman, Henry Okoye, said the gang were involved in kidnap and organ harvesting and were found out after informant(s) squealed on them.

Okoye declared that police found decomposed and mutilated corpses at the mortuary, which validated the allegations, saying incriminating evidence were also discovered during police search of Oparaugo’s residence.

“At the mortuary, decomposed and mutilated corpses were discovered in unhygienic conditions, raising suspicions of illegal organ harvesting activities,” the statement read.

It added: “Stanley Morocco Oparaugo has been declared WANTED. Anyone with useful information should contact the nearest police station.”
