The man with whom Adeshina Olayinka, popularly called Khadi, spent the night with before her demise has been arrested.
Khadi, an Instagram cloth vendor, was found dead inside a room at Wetland Hotel in Akobo area of Ibadan.
The two were believed to be in a fling dating.
Her death occurred last Thursday after the lovers retired to the hotel the preceding night, with Khadi found dead after the man had left in the morning, and she had even answered a phone call by the receptionist who checked on her.
The suspect’s identity is withheld in the fresh report supplied by Punchng.
Citing a source in the hotel, the publication said he is a regular customer, and turned himself in to the police in the hotel on being told of the catastrophe, adding that in the course of his arrest, he said the deceased complained of fatigue and tiredness while they were together.
“We called the suspect to inform him about the incident. He was shocked and rushed down to the hotel to present himself to the police. The case has been transferred to the state CID. Actually, he is one of our customers here. He always patronises us. And when he came around (before he presented himself to the police), he said the lady was complaining that night that she was weak. And that was why he just allowed her to rest,” the source was quoted as saying.
