Former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said he’s still in the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Mohammed, a vocal member of APC, a minister in the immediate past Administration of late ex-president Muhammadu Buhari and an acolyte of the incumbent President, Bola Tinubu, has stayed under the radar in recent time.
In an interview he granted newsmen on Friday after delivering the 15th Convocation Lecture of Achievers University, Owo, Ondo State, titled ‘Don’t Just Graduate, Innovate,’ the ex-minister said he had not moved party but had taken the back seat and now operated from the background.
“I am a very loyal member of the APC, and I’m 100 per cent behind this administration. I have played my role in the frontline. Whatever I need to do now, I will pass through the back channel, but I’m 100 per cent behind the administration.
“I have been privileged to serve as the longest serving Minister of Information and what I’m doing now is to give back to the society,” he declared.
