Jafojo, who was an Awoist, political icon, and elder statesman, passed on at 80 years on Saturday, April 23, 2016 at his Ikeja, Lagos residence.
Speaking ahead of the celebration, his son, Adewale, who is the Chief of Staff to the Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, made known that the occasion would be organised to respect the memory of the late political icon, modest gentleman per excellence, a legend who had shown steadfastness to Awoism and the progressives bloc.
In his words, “we are celebrating one year remembrance of our dad. He and Alhaji Lateef Jakande contributed their own quota to the development of the state.”
He, however, included that, “Daddy was a progressive leader, a bridge builder, who demonstrated loyalty to his principals and followers while alive.”
Associates and friends of the deceased politician will join his family for a remembrance service at Ikeja on Sunday, April 23, 2017.
